LiesAngeles.com is sad to report that brilliant writer Michael Crichton has died at age 66. He wrote some of the finest thrillers including “Jurassic Park” and “Twister.” He also created the great show “ER.”

LiesAngeles.com would love to see them do a great screwball comedy. They could surely handle the rat-a-tat-tat dialogue. Imagine those two working in a 1940s era newsroom together. Hilarity would ensue!
Comments rssWhen asked how to get to the point of an emotional scene in a film with regards to sadness and loss, Michael Madsen tells LiesAngeles.com “I try not to use something that actually happened to me as a crutch for playing the scene in a movie. If it can bring something out of you that deep, it kind of betrays the whole idea of what it was supposed to be originally. When I did a scene in ‘Strength and Honor’ that required sadness and loss, I had never done anything like that before. On that day when we did the scene I thought about the director and what happened to him and that he had given me the chance to play that character in the film when everyone had told him not to.” Below are photos of Madsen and his producing partner Fileena Bahris at a special screening of “Strength and Honor” in Maui and on the set of “A Way With Murder” in Los Angeles.
