Why you ask?  Because he gets paid to be!  That’s what we like about him.  If he acted somber and boring, we would get bored of him quickly and not want to be around him and listen to his funny words.  He says the things we want to say or wish we could say.  He reminds me of the friend you would want to smack in the head but cannot live without when you go out drinking.
